• What: Visible content from the currently open email thread in your Gmail tab.
• How: Extracted directly from your browser via a content script, only when the extension is triggered.
• Purpose: Used solely to generate a concise summary using the Gemini API.
• Storage: Not stored permanently or transmitted to any server other than the Gemini API endpoint.

b. User Preferences (Optional)

• What: Basic extension preferences (e.g., visibility settings).
• How: Stored using Chrome’s local storage API.
• Purpose: To remember your UI preferences between sessions.
• Storage: Persisted locally in your browser until cleared or the extension is uninstalled.

3. Use of Third-Party Services

The extension uses Google’s Gemini API to process email content. Google’s privacy policy applies to that usage.
