- What: Visible content from the currently open email thread in your Gmail tab.
- How: Extracted directly from your browser via a content script, only when the extension is triggered.
- Purpose: Used solely to generate a concise summary using the Gemini API.
- Storage: Not stored permanently or transmitted to any server other than the Gemini API endpoint.
b. User Preferences (Optional)
- What: Basic extension preferences (e.g., visibility settings).
- How: Stored using Chrome’s local storage API.
- Purpose: To remember your UI preferences between sessions.
- Storage: Persisted locally in your browser until cleared or the extension is uninstalled.
3. Use of Third-Party Services
The extension uses Google’s Gemini API to process email content. Google’s privacy policy applies to that usage.
